It’s often in our dreams that we see the way through or understand our subconscious thoughts and feelings. In our dreams, we can travel to places far away, spend time with those who have passed or fly to great heights. There are incredible times when we have foreseen the future— you might have had this experience yourself.
I love dreaming. Sometimes I’m tired after a night of astral travel or lucid dreaming yet I’m always grateful for what I saw, learned or created.
One of the biggest themes for me in my dreams is waking knowing that I have to share the message of my vision. My dream reflects an element of current human struggle or common suffering. Or better yet— a message of healing. This dream (She Dreams) came to me a while back and I felt compelled to share it recently. I think it speaks to the political climate we are experiencing around the world and those of us (there are many) who are calling for a deep-rooted change in agenda; one that prioritises the environment, unity and compassion.
She Dreams
She dreamt the people were scared.
There was utter chaos.
Those who were driven by greed and the desire to hurt were among them.
The people were being herded toward a future that drove sorrow into their hearts with a blunt blade rusted from misuse.
She called to all around her,
over and over
“Love and kindness, love and kindness!”
Her voice was not heard.
The people were scared.
Fear’s voice rippled like tremor across the land.
So she turned to her sisters nearby and called,
over and over
“Love and kindness, love and kindness!”
Her sisters stood still and listened.
They turned to their brothers and called
over and over
“Love and kindness, love and kindness!”
Soon, the land became still.
The tremor that was their fear,
now gone.
When the people looked again,
they saw greed and hurtfulness never had real power.
Not when the people stood in love and kindness,
together.
When she awoke
she realised she never truly fell asleep.
Use your voice. Gather together and use your voice. “Be the change you want to see in the world” (Mahatma Gandhi)
As always, tread gently my friends— you don’t have to do it alone
