FEEL your power. KNOW your power. USE your power.
This September marks the first year that we, Australian women, will celebrate Australian Women’s Day (AWD)! It’s a day of conversation, connection, and cultural celebration. What better way to celebrate than to come along to I AM the Dragon and tap into your inner power!
I AM the Dragon is a fun and inspiring three-hour workshop for women and girls wanting to connect to their inner strength, resilience and personal power. Through Storytelling, the Chakras, Colour and Art we’ll connect to and celebrate what it means to be a girl, a young woman or a wise sage. Let’s honour our strengths as women and honour the power of the almighty feminine!
WHY attend I AM the Dragon?
Are you anxious or stressed? Do you struggle with confidence or belief in yourself? Do you find it difficult to use your voice at home, at work or in relationships? Are you always in your head and struggle with your thoughts or emotions? Do you find it difficult to make decisions and move forward in life? Are you trying to work out who you are and to hold your space in the world?
These are just some of the areas that attending I AM the Dragon can help with. Through the workshop you will learn how to:
- build confidence in who you are
- truly own your skills and abilities
- be guided by your own wisdom and instincts
- better understand your feelings and how to let go of them
- find your unique voice and use it well
- tap into your connection with love— for yourself and others, and
- deal with and recover from the challenges life brings— this is resilience.
You will LEARN
Throughout this fun and interactive workshop, you will learn about:
- your seven major power centres
- how to use these centres in everyday life, and
- how they help to better understand yourself
- improving areas of your life that you find difficult, and
- how to use powerful tools such as chakra energy, colour and crystals.
You will receive a manual to use at home and most importantly, you will discover your inner dragon and take home a representation of her.
What does it mean to be a Dragon?
What makes a great dragon? What does it mean to be a female dragon—
the power of the feminine!
You might often see the symbol of the goddess as encompassing the power of the feminine. Yet, what about the dragon? The dragon is one who stands with a quiet assurance. She doesn’t burn the village down with her anger and fury. There’s no need to do this as she knows it won’t help and only causes harm. The dragon is able to soar to heights without limitations such as repression or oppression. Her vision is far-reaching, yet she can see what task is at hand.
I AM the Dragon is about moving away from the old story we hear about girls and women. It’s about changing our language and perceptions. You are not the damsel in distress. You are not the knight who is always engaged in battle. You ARE the dragon!
The #metoo and #timesup movements and the outrage about violence against women have great momentum. And now we have Australian Women’s Day! But it’s more than that; it’s about you, me and our daughters, mothers, sisters and friends who walk this life from day to day struggling with things like imposter syndrome, feeling like a fraud, having to fight to be heard or taken seriously.
Collectively changing lives
Where do you hold back in life because you think you can’t or something is not possible or your fears or lack of confidence get in the way?
Do you ever deny your feelings or your right to the same opportunities and happiness afforded by others?
Where do you lack authority in your life? For example, do you feel strength in your physical body, your emotions, the workplace, your relationships or having a say in things?
So, I ask you:
What would life look and feel like if we, as a collective of women, changed the narrative of our culture to be inclusive and accepting, nay— to ACKNOWLEDGE and UTILISE the feminine power, gifts and skills within each of us?
What would YOUR life look and feel like if YOU changed your narrative around what it means to be a woman?
