Bringing Light to Perinatal Anxiety & Depression

Are you a pregnant woman or mother in Canberra who is struggling with perinatal (pre or post) anxiety and/or depression (PNAD)?

I am running a six week course each Saturday in May and the second Saturday of June, 3:00pm to 4:30pm in Kingston, Canberra. The aim of the course is to teach mothers ancient and modern healing techniques to help bring you back into balance so you can be at your best and enjoy motherhood. This course is suitable for all ages, religions, spiritualities and cultures.

Each week, carefully selected complementary medicine practitioners will share their love and wisdom, teach simple techniques and connect mothers to local and online resources to enable empowered healing for each mother and their family. The cost of the course has been kept to a minimum with each practitioner donating their time to allow for greater accessibility. I am sincerely grateful for the generosity of the Bringing Light team. This is a family friendly event, especially for babes in arms, however mothers are encouraged to use this time as an opportunity to focus on their own healing.

Topics covered include:

  • the approach and benefits of complementary medicine for PNAD
  • acupressure, aromatherapy and flower essences
  • food as medicine and cooking demonstrations
  • lifestyle changes
  • yoga and breathing techniques
  • simple mindfulness, and
  • art therapy.

Each week you will also receive resources to create your own first aid kit, nourishing food and tea, and special offers for local services. I am happy to send through more information. Motherhood can be difficult at the best of times. You don’t have to do it alone. We will be creating a beautiful, safe space for you to take the the you need to heal.
